Christine Braganza
Roboticist and Ceramicist
Christine is a PhD Student at the University of Bristol currently researching ways to improve sustainability in robotics, with a focus on soft robotics and biodegradable materials. During and after her undergraduate studies, she contributed to projects including a conformable urinal for urinary incontinence in women, smart orthotic technologies for diabetic foot care, and an implantable device to replace part of the larynx, working in collaboration with the UCL, the University of Bristol and the Bristol Robotics Laboratory.
After graduating, Christine worked in industry in London in a non-engineering role but soon realised she missed the creativity and excitement of research. This led her to return to academia and join the FARSCOPE programme, where she is eager to explore diverse areas of robotics and engage in interdisciplinary projects.
